is collected by Formula Tracer.
By using Formula Tracer, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service agree to its terms.
Formula Tracer is not collecting any personal information as part of its normal operation except your email address.
Your email address is required to identify you and control what features Formula Tracer will display and/or enable.
Any other personal information that you might be asked to provide, and the reasons why you are asked to provide it,
will be made clear to you at the point we ask you to provide your personal information.

In addition, in the case of error during operation, Formula Tracer will log error details with your email address.
Details about the error might also include browser type, version OS ect.
The purpose is to maintain, fix and improve Formula Tracer.
As part of its smooth operation, Formula Tracer might log execution information to the Google Cloud Platform and the Formula Tracer database.
The purpose is to help diagnose problems and issues, improve our ability to fix these issues, and enhance the functionality and accuracy of Formula Tracer.
The logged information can include metadata such as spreadsheet names, sheet names, and the number of populated cells.
Logged information might also include some of the underlying data, i.e., the actual analyzed formulas in the spreadsheet, but not the formula results,
which are irrelevant to Formula Tracer's operation.
For example:
Assuming A3 contains the formula =A1+A2.
The string =A1+A2 might be logged, but not its results nor the content of cells
A1 , A2.
We value your privacy and the confidentiality of your data.
We will not share, sell, or use any of your private information or data for any purposes other than improving Formula Tracer and addressing the revealed issues.
Formula Tracer is subject to the Google security and authorization limitations, guidelines and approval.
As such, the first time you will install the addon you will be asked to explicitly approve all permissions
Formula Tracer needs.
This is part of the Google authorization scopes requirements as described here.
The following lists the scopes Formula Tracer needs and the purpose of each one
- See your primary Google Account email address
As described above we will use your email to identify you as a user
- Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications
Required by Google to enable the installing and using addon
- Connect to an external service
As explained above Formula Tracer might log executions information and errors to its data base.
Formula Tracer communicates with its data base by using a private web application that
writes the messages received from Formula Tracer to the underlying data base.
These web application and database will also be used if and when Formula Tracer will require subscription.
- See, edit, create, and delete all your Google Sheets spreadsheets
Formula Tracer needs read access to the spreadsheets in order to perform its processing.
The only time it will use the edit permission is to write the results to a separate designated
sheet within the underlying spreadsheet, and only after your approval each time you may need that.
Authorization scope approval is needed whenever the scopes list is changed as well as in any case Google decides it is needed.
